About Bonnieville , KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Central Kentucky is a place like no other. Rich history, stunning natural landscapes, welcoming people and lakes, rivers and caves like nothing else you will find in the world. Seasonal weather, amazing and unique natural wonders, and more make this a place that is ideal for living, working, playing… or all of the above.

Founded in 1849, the town of Bonnieville was originally called Bacon Creek and, today, has a small population of about 250 people. Locals love to get out and enjoy the water all around them. Thousands of miles of rivers and waterways as well as enormous local recreational lakes, make this area the perfect place for an aquatic adventure. You can cruise, fish, float on an inner tube, raft on a raging river or just swim. The lovely warm and sunny spring and summer weather is the perfect atmosphere for water fun for the whole family.

If you visit the area in the winter, and aren’t really experiencing swimming and boating weather, you will want to explore some of the local museums and historic sites dating back to the Civil War. The natural wonders in the area are fantastic but the local history and lore is equally as captivating. Upton and Munfordville, in particular have some special history to share. The National Register of Historic Places recognizes three sites in Munfordville are related to the Battle of Munfordville. The entire battlefield, the Unknown Confederate Soldier Monument and the Colonel Robert A. Smith are all deeply important sites to the history of Kentucky… and America. The Unknown Soldier monument is in Horse Cave and marks the grave of a Louisiana soldier inadvertently killed while clearing wood. The Colonel Robert A. Smith Monument is still located on the battlefield. Another monument to Colonel Smith exists in his hometown of Edinburgh in Scotland.
